Our Impact
As a vital part of Project Gateway’s mission to serve the community, the school has become a beacon of hope in Pietermaritzburg. With nearly 400 enthusiastic learners and a passionate team of educators, we are shaping a new generation—equipped not only academically but spiritually and emotionally as well.
Our recently launched computer centre, along with a growing focus on coding and robotics, is equipping learners with valuable real-world skills. These advancements reflect our commitment to preparing children for the demands of a changing world, while remaining rooted in Christian values.
Our History
Gateway Christian School began its journey in 1993 with the goal of bringing quality education to disadvantaged children who could not afford good schooling.
Donations help cover our operational expenses and enable us to keep school fees as low as possible. Three years ago, we managed to lower our school fees; and for the past two years, fees have remained constant.
However, due to funding shortages and delays in receiving government subsidies, it is increasingly challenging to continue offering high-quality education to our learners. Your support makes a direct difference!
